Mini bowling is essentially a compact version of the classic 10-pin bowling game. It features a shorter lane, elevated 15 inches off the ground for back ease, combined with smaller pins and lightweight bowling balls.

This design appeals to both kids and adults. The objective remains the same as traditional bowling: Over two attempts per frame, the aim is to knock down all ten pins arranged in a triangle formation.

It’s easy to play on Monster Mini Golf’s mini bowling lanes:

  • Gather your team — no restrictions on the number of players
  • Get familiar with the game structure — it comprises five frames
  • Each player is allowed two attempts per frame to knock over all ten pins
  • Strive for the highest score to clinch the win!

Plan for each game to last approximately four minutes per player, allowing seamless transitions between rounds with a quick swipe of your game card.

Mini Bowling faq

As mentioned before, mini bowling is a scaled-down version of traditional ten-pin bowling. It features smaller, lighter balls and shorter lanes, making it perfect for kids and those who find the weight and size of standard bowling balls challenging. Despite these differences, the rules and scoring are generally the same as regular bowling.

Mini bowling is a simplified version of regular bowling. It involves smaller balls and shorter lanes. To play, you roll the ball down the lane, aiming to knock down as many pins as possible. The scoring system is also similar to traditional bowling. And the best part? There are no gutters! Instead, we have glowing bumpers to keep your ball on track!

The cost of traditional bowling can vary significantly depending on several factors, such as your location, the bowling alley’s pricing model (per game or per hour), whether shoe rental is included, and the time of day or week you choose to bowl. But it’s generally an affordable activity.

But here at Monster Mini Golf, our mini bowling in Charlotte is only $5.00 for five frames! And you don’t even need bowling shoes to play!
