When searching for a bowling alley in Gastonia, you have a few different options available. Bowling is a fun sport and perfect for all ages, whether you are planning a family fun game night, date night, or get-together with friends.

However, there are some differences between the various bowling alleys in Gastonia that you need to know about to decide which location is the best place to go.

Neon mini bowling lanes at a Monster Mini Golf location.

Monster Mini Golf in Gastonia

The best place to go bowling in Gastonia is Monster Mini Golf because of our monster-themed environment and monstrous attractions. Our bowling lanes are also slightly different from traditional lanes at other bowling centers.

Our monsters shrunk the lanes, balls, and pins down, making them smaller to make the game more challenging and exciting. Our mini bowling lanes also have glow-in-the-dark features and elements. The rules are the same as traditional bowling — attempt to get a strike in one throw or a spare in two throws per round.

Our mini bowling is well-suited for all ages due to the smaller size of our bowling alley. The balls are not heavy and easy to handle, even for small hands. Our bowling lanes are also raised up to make it easier to roll the ball down the lane and strike the pins. Best of all, you do not need any special bowling shoes.

Additionally, you are not limited to the number of people who can play each game. You can have as many individuals or couples play the same game.

George Pappas’ Liberty Lanes

If you want more traditional bowling and enjoy playing in leagues, then George Pappas’ Liberty Lanes is a great bowling option. The bowling center has leagues every day of the week at different times for all age groups. Open bowling is also available when league play is not occurring, but all league lanes are closed down an hour to an hour and a half before the league start time.

This bowling center also offers bumper bowling and cosmic bowling. If you get hungry, there are alcohol and non-alcohol drinks, snacks, pizza, and other items available for purchase in the Spare Time Snackbar.

Textile Lanes

Another Gastonia bowling center to check out is Textile Lanes if you enjoy traditional bowling. This alley has several different specials, like two-hour unlimited bowling during the day on Monday through Friday, including shoe rental.

Their most popular special is their lunch and bowl deal, which includes two games of bowling, shoe rental, and the choice of one of five different lunch specials. This deal is available Monday – Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. There are also bowling leagues available at various times throughout the year.

The biggest surprise is Textile Lanes has one of the best local grills and restaurants in the area. So, even if you are not into bowling, you should still go try the food in the restaurant.
